Chamaecyparis Obtusa Fernspray Gold

Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Fernspray Gold’ (Golden Hinoki Cypress) is a slow-growing, ornamental evergreen conifer prized for its bright golden-yellow, feathery, fern-like foliage that cascades in a delicate, layered manner. The plant forms a low, spreading, mounded to semi-weeping habit, creating a graceful, textured accent in gardens. Its soft, layered branches and fine, fan-shaped needles provide year-round color and visual interest, making it ideal for rock gardens, foundation plantings, container displays, or as a specimen accent. ‘Fernspray Gold’ is highly valued for its compact size, low maintenance, and ability to add a sculptural, golden focal point to both formal and informal landscapes.
