Buxus sempervirens ‘Suffruticosa’ (English Dwarf Boxwood) is a slow-growing, compact evergreen shrub prized for its dense, fine-textured foliage and naturally rounded, mounded form. It features very small, oval, glossy green leaves that grow tightly along short stems, creating a soft, lush appearance and an exceptionally neat outline. Its growth habit is low and spreading rather than tall, making it ideal for formal borders, edging, parterres, and knot gardens. The plant responds well to shearing and shaping, holding crisp lines with minimal maintenance. With its classic look and year-round greenery, English dwarf boxwood is widely used in traditional and formal landscape designs.
